President Tinubu celebrates Asiwaju of Ijebuland at 80

President Bola Tinubu has extended heartfelt congratulations to Sulaiman Adebola Adegunwa, the Asiwaju of Ijebuland, on his 80th birthday.

In a statement issued on Friday by his spokesperson, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu described Adegunwa as a longtime friend, respected industrialist, and philanthropist whose life has been marked by impactful investments in people, institutions, and industries critical to Nigeria’s economic growth.

The President particularly commended the octogenarian’s visionary leadership as a former Chairman of Sterling Bank and his role in the development of Ess-Ay Holdings Limited, the parent company of Rite Foods Limited, which operates a state-of-the-art production facility in Ososa, Ogun State.

Tinubu praised Adegunwa’s commitment to driving employment, economic growth, and improved livelihoods through strategic investments, noting his influence across key sectors of the Nigerian economy.

As Adegunwa marks this milestone, the President offered prayers for his continued good health, long life, and enduring legacy.

The celebrant is widely regarded for his contributions to business, community development, and philanthropy in the South-West and beyond.
