President Tinubu condoles Minister Aliyu Abdullahi over passing of family patriarch

President Bola Tinubu has extended his condolences to the Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Aliyu Abdullahi, following the passing of his family patriarch, Alhaji Abdullahi Sabi.

In a statement issued on Monday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Tinubu expressed his deep sympathy for the minister and his family during this period of mourning.

The President lauded the late Alhaji Sabi as a respected politician, administrator, and traditional ruler who tirelessly championed the rights of the poor and vulnerable.

He highlighted the significant contributions Sabi made to the Borgu Emirate Council, noting that his advocacy for peaceful and inclusive development would be remembered for generations.

Alhaji Sabi’s distinguished career included serving as Superintendent of Works at Borgu Local Government Area, followed by 21 years as District Head of Melale. Throughout his career, he also led the districts of Kigera, Sabuke, and Luma at different times under the Borgu Emirate Council.

President Tinubu described Sabi as a visionary leader and the founding Chairman of Jama’atul Izalatul Bid’ah Wa Iqamatul Sunnah (JIBWIS) in the Borgu Kingdom, emphasizing his lifelong dedication to the betterment of society.

The President prayed that Allah grants Alhaji Sabi eternal rest and gives comfort to his family during this time of grief.
