President Tinubu presides over last 2024 FEC meeting

President Bola Tinubu will on Monday preside over the Federal Executive Council, which may be the last for 2024.

WESTERN POST learnt that important issues including pending memorandums on policies and projects are expected to come up for deliberations at the meeting.

The meeting may also take a final look at the 2025 Appropriation bill that President Tinubu will present before a joint session of the National Assembly on Tuesday.

On that Tuesday also, the President will meet with members of the National Defence Council.

Members of the National Defence Council include the National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Minister of Defence Abubakar Badaru, Minister of State for Defence Mohammed Bello Matawalle, and the service chiefs among others.

WESTERN POST sources said the meeting will review the security situation in the country and map out strategies for maintaining the improving security in the New Year.

After the meeting and his address to the National Assembly, President Tinubu may proceed to Lagos on official visit where he will celebrate Christmas.
