President Tinubu receives Kabiyesi Awujale of Ijebu land in New Year visit

President Bola Tinubu hosted the revered Kabiyesi Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona, on Sunday at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos for a cordial New Year visit.

During the visit, Kabiyesi Awujale, one of Nigeria’s longest-serving traditional rulers, lauded President Tinubu for his leadership and efforts towards national unity and economic growth. The royal father also expressed his support for the President’s vision for a prosperous and stable Nigeria.

The meeting, which was marked by a warm exchange of goodwill, provided an opportunity for both leaders to discuss key issues affecting the nation, including infrastructure development, security, and ways to improve the livelihoods of their people.

Oba Adetona, a strong advocate for the empowerment of traditional institutions, reiterated the importance of collaboration between the federal government and local monarchs in fostering peace and prosperity in the country.
