President Tinubu receives Kabiyesi Awujale of Ijebu land in New Year visit

President Bola Tinubu hosted the revered Kabiyesi Awujale of Ijebu land, Oba Sikiru Adetona, on Sunday at his Ikoyi residence in Lagos for a cordial New Year visit.

During the visit, Kabiyesi Awujale, one of Nigeria’s longest-serving traditional rulers, lauded President Tinubu for his leadership and efforts towards national unity and economic growth. The royal father also expressed his support for the President’s vision for a prosperous and stable Nigeria.

Oba Adetona, a strong advocate for the empowerment of traditional institutions, reiterated the importance of collaboration between the federal government and local monarchs in fostering peace and prosperity in the country.

President Tinubu, in his remarks, commended the Kabiyesi for his longstanding dedication to the welfare of his people and his contributions to Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage.

He assured the royal father that his administration would continue to prioritize policies that promote the well-being of all Nigerians, particularly in the areas of education, health, and infrastructure development.
