President Tinubu sympathizes with Governor Makinde over sibling’s demise

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde over the death of his elder brother, Engineer Sunday Makinde.

In a message signed on Monday, President Tinubu sympathized with the governor and the people of Oyo State, describing the loss as a profound sorrow and emphasizing the deep bond and irreplaceable role of a cherished elder brother in the family.

“The loss of a loved one, especially a cherished elder brother, is a profound sorrow,” the President said. “In this time of mourning, I want you to know that I, along with many others, stand with you and your family. We pray for strength and comfort as you navigate this irreplaceable loss.”

The President praised the Makinde family for exemplifying values of unity and love, encouraging them to draw strength from these virtues during this period of grief.

He also prayed for the peaceful repose of Engineer Sunday Makinde’s soul and for the Almighty to grant the family strength to cope with the loss.

President Tinubu reaffirmed his support for Governor Makinde and assured him of his unwavering assistance during this difficult time.
