President Tinubu unveils NLTF’s 4-year plan for community transformation

President Bola Tinubu has launched the National Lottery Trust Fund’s (NLTF) new 4-year strategic plan. The plan, revealed at a formal ceremony at the Aso Villa Banquet Hall in Abuja, aims to bolster NLTF’s capacity to fund GOOD CAUSES and deliver essential interventions to underserved populations nationwide.
Representing President Tinubu, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, highlighted the administration’s commitment to economic transformation, security, agricultural productivity, and social services.
“This strategic document is designed to extend the federal government’s reach to marginalized communities, providing needed support to vulnerable Nigerians,” he stated, commending NLTF’s mission under its new leadership.
Executive Secretary Comrade Tosin Adeyanju also expressed gratitude for the president’s introduction of the Revenue Assurance Platform (RAP), a framework intended to optimize revenue generation within Nigeria’s lottery sector. “I thank President Tinubu for his efforts in reshaping the industry,” Adeyanju said.
“Today’s launch of the strategic plan signals a new chapter in NLTF’s journey. Since 2005, NLTF has implemented over 306 projects nationwide, impacting countless lives. With this new plan, we are ready to deepen our contributions and deliver on our mission.”
Adeyanju also acknowledged his appointment by the president, pledging to serve with dedication and align with the administration’s vision for sustainable development. The NLTF’s strategy, he emphasized, supports broader government goals of enhanced social welfare through targeted interventions.
Senator Victor Umeh, representing Senate President Godswill Akpabio, praised Adeyanju’s swift accomplishments in his initial months, noting the strategic plan’s potential to achieve new milestones. House of Representatives member Hon. Canice Moore, representing Speaker Tajudeen Abbas, reaffirmed the legislative body’s support for NLTF’s work and new leadership.
The Minister of Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon. Zephaniah Jisalo, and Permanent Secretary Dr. Maryam Keshinro echoed support for NLTF’s renewed direction, assuring that the strategic plan would bring measurable benefits to Nigerians.
The event was attended by key government dignitaries, including Comrade Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development; Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, Coordinating Minister for Health & Social Welfare; Chief Ayuba Gufwan, Executive Secretary of the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities; and Lanre Gbajabiamila, Director-General of the National Lottery Regulatory Agency.
