‎
‎Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has said a professional, ethical, innovative and people-centred civil service is crucial to unlocking the South-West’s development.
‎
‎The governor made the remark while addressing the 10th Quarterly General Meeting of the Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (ARHOSPS), South-West, held in Osogbo.
‎
‎Represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, Adeleke noted that the South-West has consistently played a leading role in Nigeria’s administrative development.
‎
‎He noted that many of the retired heads of service and permanent secretaries present were instrumental in laying the administrative foundations that continue to serve the region.
‎
“Your collective wisdom, institutional memory and understanding of governance processes position this association as a valuable resource for regional development. ARHOSPS can continue to play a vital role in mentoring younger officers, advising governments on policy continuity and providing independent perspectives on public sector reforms,” he said.

‎Adeleke described ARHOSPS as a valuable resource for regional development, noting that the association can support mentoring, policy continuity and public sector reforms.
‎
‎Earlier, Chairman of the Osun State Association of Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries, Chief A. Olatoye, reaffirmed the group’s commitment to advancing the civil service and commended the Osun State government for its cordial relationship with the association.
