Samuel Ojo urges Aiyedatiwa to solve rising tension in Ondo poly

Public Affairs Analyst, Samuel Ojo, has appealed to the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, to intervene in the plight of workers of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo.
While lamenting about the non-implementation of the new national minimum wage for the polytechnic’s staff, Ojo described the situation as “unfortunate.”
Western Post had earlier reported that workers of the polytechnic, on the 22nd of February, embarked on an indefinite strike following the failure of the implementation of N70,000 national minimum wage.
Revealing that school activities have been on hold for a while, the political analyst noted that the current state of things could potentially damage the reputation of Ondo’s oldest higher institution.
Ojo further disclosed that many staff members of the polytechnic are currently struggling to meet their basic needs, while urging the management of the institution and the state government to address the concerns of the polytechnic’s staff immediately.
