Sanwo-Olu celebrates Osakwe’s Cybersecurity Award in UK

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has congratulated Fene Osakwe, Chairman of the Lagos State Cybersecurity Advisory Board, for being named Cyber Personality of the Year in the United Kingdom. Osakwe is the first African to receive the prestigious honor.

In a statement shared on his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday, Sanwo-Olu described the award as a testament to Nigerian excellence and Lagos’ growing influence in the global tech space.

“Lagos continues to make its mark on the global stage. I celebrate Fene Osakwe on being named Cyber Personality of the Year in the United Kingdom—the first African to receive this prestigious honor.

“His achievement reflects the talent, resilience, and global impact of Nigerian professionals,” the governor wrote.

The governor further noted that Osakwe’s success serves as an inspiration for future tech leaders, highlighting the potential of Nigerian professionals on the world stage.
