Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has commended the Lagos chapter of the Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria for building a community clinic in Elesan Village, located in Eti-Osa area of Lagos.

The governor also assured that the Lagos State government will support the project, noting that it will benefit residents of the state.

Sanwo-Olu gave the assurance on Tuesday while receiving the Amirah and executive members of the association during a courtesy visit at Lagos House, Marina.

Describing the clinic project as a commendable effort, he noted that the organisation has shown commitment by funding the project through its own resources.

The governor said the facility would serve everyone, regardless of religion or background, and therefore deserves government support.

He added that the project would also complement the efforts of the government in improving healthcare delivery across the state.

In her remarks, the Amirah of FOMWAN Lagos, Serifat Ajagbe, said the association is committed to supporting government efforts in health, education and community development.

She disclosed that the clinic project, which is about 70 per cent complete, was initiated to mark the association’s 40th anniversary and appealed for government support to ensure its completion.
