The resolutions and decisions to expel the party members were taken on Thursday by the NWC after considering the report of the disciplinary committee that was set up to investigate allegations of financial misconduct and disloyalty.

Members of the NWC who signed and endorsed the expulsion included the acting National Chairman, Dr. Sadiq Umar Abubakar Gombe; Deputy National Chairman (South), Senator Ugochukwu Uba; National Secretary, Dr. Olu Agunloye, National Legal Adviser, Aderemi Abimbola and seven other national officers.
