The All Progressives Congress (APC) has congratulated Senator John Azuta-Mbata on his election as the 13th President-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, the apex socio-cultural organization of the Igbo people.

In a statement signed by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the party also commended the contributions of the outgoing President-General, Nze Fidelis Ozichukwu Chukwu, who completed the tenure of the late Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu.

The APC highlighted Senator Azuta-Mbata’s distinguished public service record and his commitment to effective governance.

As a former two-term senator from Rivers State, Azuta-Mbata was described as well-positioned to provide “mature, purposeful, and patriotic leadership” to Ohanaeze Ndigbo.

The party reaffirmed its readiness to work closely with the new leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo to promote unity, peace, and development across the country.

The APC also extended its best wishes to Senator Azuta-Mbata and his executive team for a successful tenure in advancing the interests of the Igbo community and contributing to national development.
