The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has named Senator Cyril Fasuyi as the Director-General of Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s re-election campaign ahead of the June 20 governorship poll.

Announcing the appointment in Ado-Ekiti, Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, a senate leader and council chairman, disclosed that the council also created key positions across various campaign directorates to strengthen the re-election drive.

Bamidele noted that Senator Fasuyi’s appointment was unanimous, adding that Fasuyi previously served as campaign DG in 2022, when Oyebanji won his first term.

The council chairman expressed confidence that Fasuyi would deliver even better results this time, especially since he would be serving with Senator Yemi Adaramodu, the new deputy director-general.

Other key appointments include Chief (Mrs) Kemi Olaleye, Chief Remi Oguntuase, and Mr Kayode Babade as assistant directors-general for the North, Central, and South Senatorial Districts, respectively.

In the same vein, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, the governor’s wife, was named coordinator of the women’s mobilisation team, a move aimed at boosting female voter engagement.

In attendance during this significant meeting were Governor Oyebanji and several campaign council members.
