Senator Omisore in race for APC National Secretary

Former Osun State Deputy Governor, Iyiola Omisore, has signified his intention to run for the office of the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Omisore disclosed this in a statement he released on Friday after submitting his nomination form where he gave reasons for his bid.
“Looking forward to a perfectionist, efficient and effective management of the National Secretariat for next level prosperity, Democracy deliverables for Nigeria and Nigerians in the atmosphere of peace, happiness, safety and plenty. Institutionalised civility by leveraging technology for efficient party administration.
“To create a people driven political party that wil deepen democratic norms across the board in administration and in capacity building not only to win election but to be bonded as an institution whereby everyone will be recognised and respected for their many roles in alding growth and development of the party from the grassroots,” Omisore said in the statement.
WESTERN POST gathered that Senator Omisore’s bid is being backed by Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu and his Ekiti State counterpart, Kayode Fayemi.
Omisore who was the Social Democratic Party (SDP) candidate in the 2018 governorship election, joined the APC in February 2021 after he had aligned with the party during the rerun of the governorship election against the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
