Senator Omisore’s alleged APC disqualification debunked by supporters’ group

The Osun Rescue Mission Team, a political movement championing the cause of Senator Iyiola Omisore, has dismissed reports circulating in some national newspapers and online platforms claiming that Senator Omisore and six other aspirants have been disqualified by the All Progressives Congress (APC) Screening Committee.

In a statement signed by the team’s Director-General, Hon. Ajibola Famurewa, the group described the reports as “unverified, misleading, and mere speculation.” The group assured that its leadership is engaging with the appropriate party organs to clarify the situation, expressing confidence that the APC’s commitment to due process, fairness, and transparency will prevail.

The statement urged party members, supporters, and the general public to remain calm and avoid spreading unconfirmed information, emphasising that the matter is under careful review and that verified facts will be communicated once available.

It also expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support from party faithful, supporters across the state, and well-wishers of Senator Omisore, noting that their solidarity strengthens the team’s resolve to ensure that truth prevails over misinformation.

“Supporters are encouraged to maintain confidence in the process, stay focused, and continue to uphold the progressive ideals that define our movement,” the statement concluded, assuring that all matters will be fully resolved in due course.
