Nigeria’s participation at the 2026 WEF is marked by the official debut of “Nigeria House Davos”, a sovereign pavilion established by the federal government on the Davos Promenade. The pavilion, developed through a public-private partnership arrangement, is designed to serve as a hub for ministerial engagements, investment discussions, and cultural diplomacy throughout the forum.

Vice President Shettima is expected to commission the Nigeria House on Tuesday and present Nigeria’s 2026 economic outlook to global political and business leaders. His engagements at the forum include participation in plenary sessions focusing on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and biotechnology.

During the week-long meeting, the vice president will also hold bilateral talks with heads of state, senior executives of multinational corporations, and leaders of international development finance institutions, aimed at strengthening partnerships in line with the Tinubu administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

Speaking to journalists shortly after the Vice President’s arrival, the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, said Nigeria would use the platform to make a strong case for investment at the launch of the Nigeria House.

According to her, Nigeria will showcase four key investment “playbooks” highlighting reforms under President Tinubu, including opportunities in the solid minerals sector, climate-smart agriculture, and the creative and digital economy sectors.
