Shettima Mohammed emerges new president, Nigerian Shooting Federation

Commodore Shettima Mohammed of the Nigerian Navy has emerged as President of the Nigerian Shooting Sport Federation.

He defeated the incumbent President, Captain O.B. Ayoade, also of the Nigerian Navy, after securing eight out of fourteen total votes cast, while Ayoade got five votes.

After a series of ties in previous elections, the leadership of the National Sports Commission (NSC) took over the conduct of the by-election to produce the next president of the federation.

The new board of the NSSF will be inaugurated by the NSC alongside other boards of sports federations whose elections have been successfully held.

The election was held at the Handball Indoor Hall, Package B, Moshood Abiola National Stadium, Abuja, on Saturday.
