SORA won the fourth Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) Hackathon Live Show 2026, securing the N3 million grand prize for its inclusive technology solution for persons with disabilities.

Clear Signal and IKOR placed second and third, winning N2 million and N1 million, respectively, at the two-day competition themed “Technology Without Barriers.”

The event brought together 20 teams to develop solutions promoting digital inclusion. SORA’s winning platform connects verified persons with disabilities to jobs and skills-development opportunities.

Clear Signal developed accessible electricity outage alerts, while IKOR created an AI-powered voice dictation and writing tool.

NCC Executive Vice Chairman, Dr Aminu Maida, said the Commission remained committed to using technology to tackle digital exclusion.

Representing him, Executive Commissioner Rimini Makama urged stakeholders to support the commercialisation of promising innovations.

All participating teams received consolation prizes and certificates.
