The Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Afolabi Olaoye, has commended the establishment of a Migration Office in Ogbomoso, describing it as a significant step toward progress and development for the town.

The monarch gave this commendation on Tuesday during a courtesy visit to his palace by the Comptroller of Immigration, Oyo State Command, Mr. Joseph Olutayo Dada, and his team.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Oba Olaoye expressed his appreciation to the Nigeria Immigration Service for bringing migration services closer to the people of Ogbomoso. He noted that the development would open up new opportunities and enhance access to immigration-related services within the region.

The Soun assured the visiting team of the town’s readiness to support the success of the office, stating that Ogbomoso would provide a conducive and supportive environment for the smooth operation of the Nigeria Immigration Service.

He also pledged full cooperation and commitment from the palace and community to ensure the new office thrives and delivers on its mandate.

The monarch described the visit by the Comptroller and his team as symbolic and appreciated their efforts toward strengthening ties between the service and the Ogbomoso community.

Oba Olaoye also expressed optimism that the new collaboration would bring lasting benefits not only to Ogbomoso but also to the wider Oyo State and Nigeria at large.

The new Migration Office is expected to improve accessibility to immigration services, reduce travel time for residents, and boost local socio-economic activities.
