Speaker Abbas, Deputy Kalu celebrate First Lady Oluremi Tinubu at 65

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, has praised First Lady Oluremi Tinubu on the occasion of her 65th birthday, lauding her commitment to education and philanthropy.

Speaker Abbas commended the First Lady for marking her birthday with the launch of the Oluremi at 65 Education Fund, aimed at supporting the education of underprivileged children. He described her as the “Mother of the Nation” and a vital partner to President Bola Tinubu, highlighting her contributions as a seasoned lawmaker, politician, and advocate for democracy.

“Her pet projects and empowerment initiatives have transformed countless lives across the country,” the Speaker said, emphasizing her reputation as a compassionate leader dedicated to national development.

Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu also paid tribute, particularly praising the First Lady for her support of the Reserved Seats Bill, designed to enhance women’s representation in governance.

Kalu noted that the National Assembly remains proud of her achievements during her tenure in the Senate and encouraged her to continue serving as a role model for women in leadership and public service.
