Speaker Obasa presents vehicles to senior staff of Lagos Assembly
The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has officially presented vehicles to staff in the directorship cadre of the Assembly. This event marks the second consecutive vehicle presentation within weeks, as part of the Assembly’s efforts to enhance productivity and service delivery among its staff.
The recent beneficiaries include directors and deputy directors from various departments and units within the Assembly. Speaking at the presentation held at the Assembly complex, Dr. Obasa emphasized the importance of this initiative in promoting effectiveness and encouraging a conducive work environment.
“This occasion represents a significant milestone in our commitment to ensuring efficiency and supporting hard work among our staff,” he stated.
The Speaker noted that the Lagos State House of Assembly has set a benchmark for legislative excellence in Nigeria, thanks to the dedication and results-oriented focus of both staff and management.
“Given our achievements, it is essential to boost this efficiency and maintain our status as a model of legislative effectiveness in our democratic framework,” Dr. Obasa added.
He reiterated the Assembly’s goal of fostering an environment that allows staff to effectively address the needs of Lagos residents through impactful, pro-people legislation.
The Speaker expressed optimism that the new vehicles would facilitate the staff’s official duties and contribute to the Assembly’s collective objectives of improving Lagos State.
In response, the Clerk of the House, Barr. Olalekan Onafeko, praised the welfare-oriented approach of Speaker Obasa’s leadership. As the Head of Service of the Assembly, he acknowledged that the provision of vehicles would significantly enhance productivity and foster a stronger commitment among the staff.
