Super Eagles B thrash Emmydinho 5-0 in friendly

Nigeria’s CHAN Eagles continued their build up to the CHAN qualifier tie against the Black Galaxies of Ghana with an emphatic 5-0 drubbing of Emmydinho FC.

The match, played on Wednesday at the Remo Stars Stadium, Ikenne, saw home boy, Sikiru Alimi score a hattrick.

Alimi opened scoring for the Eagles in the 19th minute, with veteran Kano Pillars midfielder, Rabiu Ali providiing the assist.

The Remo Stars’ striker added the second in the 22nd minute, with the assist coming from Shooting Stars of Ibadan striker Samuel Ayanrinde.

Ayanrinde hit the target himself two minutes later, off a pass from Remo Stars midfielder, Jide Fatokun to make it 3-0, before Ayanrinde provided his second assist of the day for Alimi to complete his hatrick in the 42nd minute.

The Eagles finished the job in the second half when Sunshine Stars’ forward, Vincent Temitope scored the only goal of the half to make it five nil.

The team will continue its build up to the two legged qualifier, with the first leg holding in Ghana later this month.
