Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has revealed that he once worked at Christ Embassy Church under the leadership of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.
In a viral video, the Nigerian international recalled how he took up the job at the church shortly after secondary school to support his family, which included his father and sisters.
Osimhen noted that he lived within the church premises and was paid during the five months he worked there, during which he met Pastor Oyakhilome on several occasions.
“It was a means of survival for me and my family at the time,” Osimhen said, reflecting on the experience.
He also shared that before his football career took off, he worked briefly as a sub-agent to a lottery operator in his continued search for better opportunities.
Osimhen’s journey from modest beginnings to global football prominence has inspired many, as he continues to make Nigeria proud on the international stage.
The Napoli forward is currently regarded as one of the most talented strikers in the world.
