Super Eagles’ victory took away my hunger – Eric Chelle

Super Eagles’ coach, Eric Sekou Chelle, has revealed that his joy following Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over Rwanda knew no bounds.
The former French international began his tenure as manager of the three-time AFCON champions on a winning note in Kigali on Friday, thanks to Victor Osimhen’s first-half brace.
Reacting to the win, which puts Nigeria back on track for a place in the 2026 World Cup, Chelle said he was so excited that he lost his appetite.
“I refused to eat since morning. Believe me, even now, I’m not hungry because joy has filled my soul,” he said after the match.
Unable to hide his excitement, Chelle added, “In my next world, I want to be the Super Eagles coach again.”
The former Malian international praised his players for a job well done and expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their support.
“I thank my team for a great performance. I also appreciate Nigerians for their massive support. In my next life, I want to be Nigerian,” he stated.
