Super Falcons star Nnadozie earns spot among world’s best goalkeepers

Super Falcons of Nigeria goalkeeper, Chiamaka Nnadozie, has placed fourth in the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy — an award presented by France Football to the best women’s goalkeeper in the world.

At the award ceremony held on Monday night at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, the Paris FC shot-stopper finished fourth among five shortlisted goalkeepers.

The France-based goalie had a remarkable year, helping the Super Falcons to a record-extending 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title, where she was also named Best Goalkeeper of the Tournament.

Despite narrowly missing out on the top three, Nnadozie’s consistent brilliance has earned her recognition among the world’s elite, cementing her reputation as one of the most reliable and talented players in her position.

Chelsea and England’s Hannah Hampton claimed the top spot, followed by Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger in second and Spain’s Cata Coll in third. Dutch goalkeeper Daphne van Domselaar completed the top five.
