Three burnt to death, scores injured in Ekiti auto crash

Three persons have been reported dead, while others sustained injuries when an 18-seater passenger bus plunged into a ditch in Ilawe Ekiti on Tuesday.
Westernpost gathered that sympathizers made frantic efforts to rescue the passengers but the three persons were burnt beyond recognition before help could come as the vehicle burst into flame after the accident, with others sustaining horrific injuries.
The dead and the injured victims were taken to the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti by good Samaritans.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Ekiti State Police Command, Sunday Abutu confirmed the incident to Westernpost but said the command was yet to ascertain the exact figure of casualties in the accident.
