TICC alerts public to fake cash transfer website linked to Governor Adeleke

The Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has alerted members of the public to a fake website being circulated with an alleged message about an election campaign cash transfer involving its candidate, Governor Ademola Adeleke.

The council, in a statement signed by its spokesperson, Pelumi Olajengbesi, described the website as malicious and said it was being circulated with the intent to tarnish Adeleke’s image.

TICC stated that the information was false and fraudulent, stressing that it did not emanate from either Adeleke or the Imole Campaign Council.

“The attention of the Imole Campaign Council (TICC) has been drawn to a malicious website being circulated with the intent to tarnish the image of our candidate, His Excellency, Senator Ademola Adeleke, through a false claim about an alleged election campaign cash transfer.

“We wish to state unequivocally that the information is false, fraudulent and did not emanate from either our candidate or the Imole Campaign Council,” the statement read.

The council advised members of the public to disregard the message, avoid engaging with the website and report it to the appropriate authorities as fraudulent.

The council said its candidate had delivered exceptional performance in office and had no need to induce voters with cash or any form of inducement.

According to the council, the people of Osun State were fully capable of assessing the administration’s record of performance and were ready to re-elect Adeleke based on the tangible achievements of his administration.
