President Bola Tinubu has commended Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, for his dedication and support to the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona.

Speaking on Sunday during the eighth-day Fidau prayer held in Ijebu-Ode in honour of the revered monarch, President Tinubu described Governor Abiodun as a dependable son of Ogun State.

“Okanlomo Eleyi of Ogun State,” the President said with fondness. “I must thank you for taking care of our father. He was a leader of conscience and tradition, with great value.”

The Fidau prayer ceremony attracted dignitaries, traditional rulers, clerics, and citizens from across the country who came to pay their final respects to the monarch.

Oba Adetona, who reigned for over six decades, was widely respected for his principled leadership, cultural preservation, and unwavering integrity.
