Tinubu appoints 72 executives for River Basin Development Authorities

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of 72 executives to lead the management of 12 River Basin Development Authorities across the country.

The announcement was made on Wednesday by presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga.

According to the statement, the reconstitution of the executive management falls under the Federal Ministry of Water Resources and is aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of the authorities in managing water resources and related infrastructure.

Breakdown of Appointments
The appointments span several states, reflecting the geographic scope of each River Basin Development Authority. Notable appointments include:

Ogun-Osun River Basin Development Authority, Abeokuta

(Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, and Osun States)

Chairman: Hon. Odebunmi Olusegun (Oyo)
Managing Director: Engr. Dr. Adedeji Ashiru (Osun)
Executive Director, Finance: Ayo Oyalowo (Oyo)
Executive Director, Planning and Design: Dokunmu Olufemi Oyekunle (Ogun)
Executive Director, Agric Services: Suleiman Oris (Lagos)
Executive Director, Engineering: Engr. Julius Oloro (Lagos)
Upper Benue River Basin Development Authority, Yola

(Adamawa, Taraba, Gombe, and Bauchi States)
