Tinubu calls for collaborative efforts tackling terrorism in Nigeria

President Bola Tinubu has made a plea to all Nigerians and State governments to come together in the fight against terrorism and poverty in the country.
He emphasized the need for a more holistic approach that would address both issues simultaneously.
Speaking further, Tinubu stressed that this would require a collaborative effort from all stakeholders, including the government, civil society organizations, and the private sector.
With a united and concerted effort, he expressed confidence that Nigeria could overcome these challenges and build a brighter future for all its citizens.
According to a report by Voice of Nigeria, on Wednesday, Tinubu made the call while attending a reception hosted by Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House in Marina, South-West Nigeria.
Tinubu stressed the importance of cooperation in creating the society that Nigerians aspire to.
The President expressed hope that the economic struggles of Nigerians will soon come to an end as a result of the implemented economic measures.
He reassured residents that his financial team is working tirelessly to provide the best possible economy for Nigerians and create more opportunities to improve the nation.
The President assured traditional rulers that culture and traditions would not be abandoned but would be included in the fight against poverty in the land.
Nigeria has in the past battled an increased rate of insecurity in the country.
Borno state is one of three BYA (Borno, Yobe, and Adamawa) states in the north east that have suffered the most from a decade-long insurgency crises largely perpetrated by the extremist group Boko Haram and its breakaway ISIS-backed fraction group the Islamic Africa Province (ISWAP).
Nigeria ranked 8th among the top 10 countries with the highest level of terrorism in the world.
The Global Terrorism Index (GTI) 2023 assessed terrorism impact in 163 countries. With a score of 8.065, Nigeria has a terrorism impact that is “very high.”
