Tinubu commends Gov Abiodun, says investments lay foundation for future prosperity

President Bola Tinubu says his administration is investing in infrastructure and implementing economic reforms aimed at improving the quality of life of Nigerians and ensuring sustainable long-term growth for the nation.

The President stated this on Saturday in Iperu, Ogun State, during the inauguration of the Gateway Cargo International Airport built by the administration of Governor Dapo Abiodun. Tinubu also launched two newly acquired aircraft for the state-owned Gateway Airline.

“Our investment is about our people. The infrastructure underscores our faith in our country and the belief that today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity,” the President said.

Tinubu noted that the airport is connected to an independent power source, reflecting ongoing investments in the energy sector to support critical infrastructure.

He also commissioned 1,000 electric bikes, security vehicles, and tractors, describing the initiatives as part of efforts to improve transportation, strengthen security, and boost agriculture.

“Development must touch every level. I am particularly pleased with the mobility, the security and the agricultural initiatives being fulfilled today,” he added.

The President commended Nigerians for their continued support for the All Progressives Congress (APC), noting that ongoing reforms have increased financial resources available to state governments for development projects.

Tinubu praised Governor Abiodun for what he described as visionary leadership and alignment with the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
