Tinubu condoles APC National Secretary Basiru over mother’s death

President Bola Tinubu has expressed condolences to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, following the death of his mother, Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru.
In a statement issued on Sunday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described the late matriarch as a disciplined and responsible mother who instilled in her children the values of integrity, faith, selfless service, and discipline.
The President said Basiru’s contributions to national development and the growth of the APC reflected the quality of his upbringing.
“The loss of a loving mother is a profound moment of grief. While death is an inevitable part of life, the pain of losing a parent is deeply felt and leaves an enduring void,” Tinubu said.
He prayed for Almighty Allah to grant the deceased Aljanah Firdaus and asked God to comfort Basiru, members of the family, friends and loved ones during the period of mourning.
The President also urged the bereaved family to take solace in the exemplary life and enduring legacy of the late Alhaja Sidikat Abake Basiru.
