Tinubu hails Dele Alake at 69, praises his loyalty, service to nation

President Bola Tinubu has congratulated his long-time ally and Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dr. Dele Alake, on the occasion of his 69th birthday, describing him as a dependable partner, consummate strategist, and patriot dedicated to national progress.

In a statement issued on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President commended Alake’s decades-long commitment to public service, journalism, and governance.

Tinubu recalled his many years of friendship and collaboration with Alake, noting the minister’s outstanding contributions to public communication and national development.

He also lauded Alake’s ongoing reforms in the solid minerals sector, aimed at transforming it into a key revenue source for Nigeria through innovative policies, investment promotion, and the formalization of artisanal mining activities under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

“On this special day, I pray that Almighty God will continue to bless Dele with good health, wisdom, and strength,” President Tinubu said. “He has remained a committed, loyal, and outstanding ally for several decades. His steadfastness and unyielding commitment to national development and progress stand him out as a patriot.”

The President wished the minister many more years of service to the nation and humanity.
