Tinubu mourns intelligence chief, Amb. Zakari Ibrahim

President Bola Tinubu has expressed his condolences to the family of Ambassador Zakari Ibrahim, who passed away on Sunday at the age of 81.
Ambassador Ibrahim, a former Minister of State for Foreign Affairs and Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), was a prominent figure in Nigeria’s diplomatic and intelligence community.
In a statement issued on Thursday, President Tinubu also extended his sympathies to the Government and people of Katsina State, as well as the Katsina Emirate Council. Ambassador Ibrahim held the prestigious traditional title of Talba in the emirate.
The late ambassador served Nigeria in various capacities, including as Deputy National Security Adviser, Director-General of the NIA, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs.
President Tinubu praised Ambassador Ibrahim’s dedication to national service, describing him as a distinguished intelligence officer, diplomat, and community leader whose contributions will be long remembered.
The President offered prayers for the repose of his soul and encouraged his family and proteges to honor his memory by upholding the values he represented.
