Tinubu mourns Osun medical expert, Laosebikan

President Bola Tinubu has expressed deep sorrow over the death of renowned medical practitioner and co-founder of Onward Specialist Hospital, Osogbo, Dr Daniel Aremu Laosebikan, describing him as “a distinguished physician and compassionate humanitarian.”

In a condolence message issued on Sunday, the President said the late medical expert dedicated his life to improving healthcare delivery and mentoring younger professionals in the medical field.

“Dr Laosebikan dedicated his life to improving access to quality medical care, mentoring younger medical professionals, and serving humanity with uncommon commitment and purpose,” Tinubu stated.

Dr Laosebikan reportedly passed away on March 29, 2026.

The President noted that the deceased left behind an enduring legacy through his contributions to healthcare delivery in Osun State and beyond.

“He was a distinguished physician and compassionate humanitarian whose contributions to healthcare delivery in Osun State and beyond left an enduring legacy,” the statement added.

Tinubu further said the late doctor earned widespread admiration for his professionalism and compassion toward patients and families.

“His devotion to the profession earned him admiration across the medical community and among patients and families whose lives were positively impacted by his expertise and compassion,” the President said.
