Tinubu summons former Rivers sole administrator Ibas to Aso Rock

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday summoned Ibok-Ete Ibas, the immediate past sole administrator of Rivers State, to the State House in Abuja.
Ibas arrived at the Presidential Villa at about 5:50 p.m.
A retired Vice Admiral and former Chief of Naval Staff, Ibas was appointed by Tinubu in 2023 as sole administrator to oversee Rivers State following heightened political tensions in the state.
His appointment was part of efforts to stabilize governance and maintain federal oversight amid disputes between political factions.
Before his appointment, Ibas served as Nigeria’s Chief of Naval Staff from 2015 to 2021, bringing decades of military and administrative experience to his new role.
