A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has expressed optimism about President Bola Tinubu’s economic policies, predicting they will yield significant positive results in 2025.

Speaking with journalists on Sunday in Osogbo, Oyintiloye, a member of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, acknowledged the temporary hardships brought about by the reforms but emphasized their long-term benefits.

He stated that while the reforms have started producing some positive outcomes, Nigerians would fully feel their impact by 2025.

According to him, the bold steps taken to restructure the economy are necessary for sustainable growth.

Oyintiloye commended Nigerians for their patience and resilience amidst the rising cost of living, assuring them that 2025 would be a year of economic recovery and prosperity under the Tinubu administration.

“The removal of petrol subsidy and the floating of the naira caused temporary discomfort this year, but these policies will put smiles on Nigerians’ faces in 2025. The recent reduction in petrol pump prices is a positive signal of better times ahead,” he said.

He added that other economic indicators also point to a brighter outlook, noting that increased revenue allocations to states from the federation account would enable them to deliver more development projects to their citizens.

Oyintiloye highlighted President Tinubu’s $2.25 billion economic injection approved in response to the country’s financial challenges.

He explained that the funding, sourced from the World Bank, aims to support economic reforms, reduce interest rates in critical sectors, and provide credit lines to businesses of all sizes.

As part of a rapid stabilization and development strategy, this financial assistance is designed to revitalize the economy.

“Nigerians can look forward to seeing positive outcomes in infrastructure, agriculture, security, healthcare, education, and the creative and digital economy in 2025,” he said.

He urged Nigerians to continue supporting and praying for the president, emphasizing the need for cooperation to achieve economic prosperity.

Oyintiloye concluded by acknowledging the sacrifices Nigerians made in the outgoing year and assured them that 2025 would bring rewards and economic relief.
