Tottenham enters race to sign Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman

Super Eagles forward and reigning African Footballer of the Year, Ademola Lookman, has emerged as a key transfer target for top English Premier League clubs.
Lookman’s proposed move to Inter Milan recently collapsed, leaving his future at Italian side Atalanta uncertain despite his return for the new season.
Reports indicate that former Tottenham Hotspur sporting director Fabio Paratici, who is currently serving as a consultant during his football ban, is spearheading efforts to bring the Nigerian international to North London as he prepares for a full return to the club.
The 27-year-old attacker is believed to be seeking a move away from Atalanta after the Serie A club rejected a £40 million bid from Inter Milan earlier in the summer transfer window.
Lookman is coming off a stellar 2024/25 season in which he scored 20 goals across all competitions, further cementing his reputation as one of Europe’s most dangerous forwards.
The Nigerian star, who has previously featured for Fulham and Leicester City, has now been identified as a serious option for Tottenham as they seek to strengthen their attacking options.
Although Spurs had initially shown strong interest in Manchester City winger Savinho, the player has been deemed unavailable for transfer, leaving Lookman as their top alternative.
Sources in England suggest Tottenham are preparing to open formal negotiations with Atalanta in the coming days.
