Honourable Natasha Osawaru has explained why her partner, Tuface Idibia, has been wearing her traditional beads, dismissing allegations that she used them to exert a spiritual hold on the singer.
Osawaru clarified that the beads hold cultural and sentimental value and that Tuface chose to wear them willingly without any form of imposition.
In her words, “Those beads were my birthday gifts. They represent a princess from a royal family. You know I’m from the Igbinedion Royal Family.
“My mum gave me three nice beads on my last birthday. They call it ‘EZENEKA,’ which means ‘River that never runs dry.’ The one on his neck was given to me by my grandfather. You know my grandfather was a knight to the Queen of England. The Queen of England gave it to him when she was alive.
“So they are just traditional beads, and he wore them because he likes them. They are not diabolical, and they don’t contain juju. I didn’t put them on him; he chose to wear them. If you observe, you will notice that he likes beads a lot and has been wearing several before now.”
Meanwhile, Idibia’s mother, Rose Idibia, had accused Natasha of using the traditional neck and wrist beads to spiritually bind her son.
