Tuface left Annie because of lifestyle clash — Baba Fryo

Veteran Nigerian musician Baba Fryo has shared his thoughts on the breakup between music star Tuface Idibia and his estranged wife, Annie Idibia, suggesting that a clash in lifestyle choices led to the collapse of their marriage.

Speaking on a recent episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, Baba Fryo claimed Tuface left Annie because she wasn’t a good home manager. According to him, men seek women who can support and guide them away from harmful habits—not women who share the same vices.

“In marriage, when the man is drinking, the woman should be watching him and calming him down,” he said. “But if the woman also drinks, and both of them are drunk, who will take the other home?”

He stressed that a man may become insecure in such a relationship and start seeking emotional stability elsewhere, even if the alternative isn’t necessarily better.

Referring to Tuface’s new partner, Natasha Osawuru, Baba Fryo said, “I’m not saying Natasha is better than Annie. I’ve known her since she was three years old. I carried her on my legs. Her father, Desmond, and I were friends.”

He noted that both Annie and Tuface, being entertainers, may have struggled to manage their roles in the marriage, adding that balance and responsibility are crucial in any union.

Tuface publicly announced his separation from Annie in January and later introduced Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawuru as his new lover.
