By Boye Oyeyemi –

Two political appointees in Ekiti State have resigned from their positions in Governor Biodun Oyebanji’s administration.

The officials are Mr. Shina Olawale Ogunleye, a member of the Ekiti State Microfinance and Enterprise Development Agency, and Mr. Oguntosin Akin Raymond, a member of the Ekiti State Multipurpose Credit Agency.

Their resignation letters, dated October 1 and October 2, 2025, were addressed to the governor, citing personal reasons and family commitments.

Ogunleye, a former secretary and two-term chairman of Irepodun/Ifelodun Local Government, also served as Chairman of Ifedara LCDA during the administration of former Governor Kayode Fayemi.

Their exit comes barely 24 hours after the resignation of the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Employment, Mr. Sunday Oguntuase.

As of the time of filing this report, the state government has yet to issue an official reaction to the development.
