Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has rated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s two years in office as “wonderful,” noting that the President inherited significant challenges and is doing his best to address them.

Speaking with State House reporters on Tuesday, Governor Eno urged Nigerians to support Tinubu in delivering on his mandate.

“Like I keep saying to everybody, President Tinubu didn’t create the problem we are in right now. And for me, I believe he is doing his best and he should be supported to finish,” he said.

Reflecting on his own administration’s progress ahead of his second-year anniversary, Eno highlighted achievements in education, healthcare, roads, and markets.

“When you come to Akwa Ibom, you find out that we have covered all of this and we are working. So those are the things we have achieved—from schools to hospitals, to roads, to markets—in all areas, we are on ground,” he said.

He announced a shift in focus from rural development to large-scale infrastructure projects aimed at positioning Akwa Ibom as a major tourism destination.

“Super infrastructural development is the next phase. We want to make Akwa Ibom a tourist destination and we are on the way,” he stated.

On the state’s development trajectory, Eno credited the stable leadership and continuity between past and present administrations, saying each has built on the foundations of the last.
