UPDATE: Abaribe joins APGA after dumping PDP

Senate Minority Leader, Enyinnaya Abaribe, has joined the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

WesternPost had earlier reported that Abaribe resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday.

He said he was leaving the PDP due to the “shameful display of illegality, impunity and undemocratic decision of the party and after due consultations with my constituents”.

Confirming his next move to reporters, Abaribe said he joined APGA in Umuahia.

He said he won’t be contesting for the governorship seat of Abia State again, but would vie for a return to the senate under the platform of APGA.

Abaribe had also while announcing his exit from the PDP, wrote another letter to the senate president, stepping down as the senate minority leader.
