US Consulate, local partners host ‘Stars and Legends’ concert in Lagos
The US Consulate and its local partners organized a music concert on October 14, 2023, at the Terra Kulture Lagos. The concert was called ‘Stars and Legends’ and it featured Nigerian and American musical talents.
The main performer was Maya Azucena, an American singer-songwriter and humanitarian from Brooklyn, New York City. She sang songs about empowering women and youth, and fighting against domestic and sexual violence.
She shared the stage with other artists, such as Tee Mac Omatshola Iseli, MFR, a Nigerian flautist with Itsekiri and Swiss roots. The Nigerian Army band and other Nigerian artists also performed at the event.
The concert was attended by many important people, such as Comrade Ayodele Adewale, senior officials from the US Consulate, members of the diplomatic corps, and various Nigerian musical talents. It was a good chance for them to network and connect with each other.
