ValueJet preseason: Ikorodu City beat Remo Stars, Abia Warriors, Kwara Utd draw

By Tosin Omojola –

Hosts Remo Stars of Ikenne got more than they bargained for on Tuesday as they suffered a heavy 0-4 defeat to Ikorodu City.

Home fans watched in shock as the Lagos-based side dismantled their team at the Remo Stars Stadium.

In the first match of the day, it was honours even as Abia Warriors were held to a 1-1 draw by Kwara United. The Umuahia-based side opened the scoring before the Harmony Boys levelled in the contest between the two teams set to represent Nigeria in the 2025 CAF Confederation Cup.

Meanwhile, Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) will resume their campaign today (Wednesday) with two fixtures on the schedule.

This morning, 3SC are set to face Abia Warriors, before taking on Rivers United later in the evening.

The Ibadan team’s matches were rearranged following Monday’s death of their assistant coach, Akin Olowookere, who slumped and died during a training session in Ijebu-Ode.
