Veteran Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze passes away at 75

Popular Nollywood veteran, Tom Njemanze, has passed away at the age of 75.
According to sources familiar with the matter, Njemanze died after a prolonged battle with prostate cancer.
The news of his passing was announced by movie producer Stanley Ontop in an Instagram post.
In his announcement, Stanley noted that all efforts to save Njemanze proved futile.
He wrote, “It’s another sad period as we just received news from Tom Njemanze’s family that he has succumbed to his ailment and passed on yesterday.”
The post has drawn an outpouring of condolences from fans and colleagues alike.
Earlier in the year, Stanley had appealed for financial support to aid the veteran actor’s urgent surgery after disclosing his condition.
Tom Njemanze began his acting career in the 1990s and was known for his standout performances in several films, including Tokunboh, Pounds and Dollars, Atosa, Issakaba, Osuofia in London, Brain Box, and Igbotic Love.
