Emir of Daura affirms support for President Tinubu in 2027 elections

The Emir of Daura, His Royal Highness Umar Farouk Umar, has reportedly declared his unwavering support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election bid, stating that “President Tinubu is our choice for 2027.”

The Emir made the statement on Saturday while receiving First Lady Oluremi Tinubu, who led a delegation of prominent women on a condolence visit to the family of the late President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura.

“President Tinubu is our choice for 2027,” the Emir said, according to The Guardian Nigeria. “We remain solidly behind him and will continue to support his administration to succeed.”

The visit, marked by prayers and tributes, also served as a demonstration of political solidarity and continued loyalty to President Tinubu’s leadership.

Accompanied by the wives of governors, ministers, service chiefs, and other dignitaries, the First Lady paid respects to Hajiya Aisha Buhari and visited the gravesite of the former President, offering prayers for his soul and strength for the bereaved family.

In her remarks, Senator Tinubu described Buhari as a disciplined and selfless patriot whose legacy would continue to inspire the nation. The Emir, in turn, praised President Tinubu’s leadership and assured the First Lady of Daura Emirate’s continued support ahead of the 2027 general elections.
