Vice President Shettima arrives in New York for 79th UN General Assembly

Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in New York to represent Nigeria at the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
This was stated in a release by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications (Office of the Vice President), on Monday morning.
According to the statement, Shettima landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport earlier today, where he was received by a delegation including the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf M. Tuggar; the Minister of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr. ‘Bosun Tijani; the Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA), Kashifu Inuwa; Nigerian diplomats, and UN officials.
Under the directive of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Shettima is leading Nigeria’s delegation to the UNGA. He is set to deliver Nigeria’s national statement and participate in various high-level meetings during the assembly.
