Vice President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja following a visit to Maiduguri, Borno State, where he marked the Eid al-Adha celebrations and carried out key official engagements.

During his stay, the Vice President launched the National Asset Restoration Programme at the Borno State Agricultural Mechanization (BOSAMA) Farm Centre.

The initiative, spearheaded by the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), is designed to revive and repurpose thousands of abandoned public assets and machinery across Nigeria.

He also commissioned a major power infrastructure project at Borno State University, delivered by the Niger Delta Power Holding Company Limited.

The project features a 1×7.5 MVA, 33/11 kV injection substation, along with 3 km of 33 kV line, 2.5 km of 11 kV line, 2.5 km of low-tension line, and three 500 kVA distribution transformers. It aims to significantly enhance electricity supply to the university and nearby communities.

Both projects are part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, focused on infrastructure development and stimulating economic growth nationwide.
