WA includes Amusan in provisional list for World Championships

World Athletics has included World Record Holder and reigning champion Tobi Amusan in the provisional list for the women’s 100m hurdles at the World Championships in Budapest later this month.
Amusan is provisionally suspended by the Athletics Integrity Unit after missing three whereabouts tests within a period of 12 months.
The 26-year-old had in a post on her social media platforms, maintained her innocence.
Amusan further revealed that a tribunal set up by the AIU will sit and determine her case before the commencement of the World Championships in August 19.
Nigeria didn’t include Amusan in their list for the competition which was released within the week.
WA has however included Amusan in the provisional list pending the AIU investigation.
Amusan has a wild card to the World Championships due to being the reigning champion.
